GOSSIP   4. GOSSIP: What people think they know and are happy to tell you about Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones

I guess when you are Mick Jagger, you meet a lot of people. Given how many first-person encounters people from all over the Western World have shared with us about Mick people who did his hair, shared a line of Coke with him, decorated his apartment, tried to sell a house in Texas to him, fitted him for a costume, saw him at the Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, I expect that any day now my mother will call me to tell me that she just met Mick in the vestibule of her church.
And is hasn't only been Mick everyone seems to have an Anita and a Keith story too. Well, I can't go into the details here, or reveal my sources it would be unfair. But I can say that we listened attentively to ALL first person accounts and incorporated all the information into our understanding of the Stones and their scene.
I would also like to reiterate here that The Anita Pallenberg Story is NOT a film ABOUT Anita Pallenberg or the Stones: it is a film about their images, their legacy. They are just the CONCEPT, not the source, not even the reason.
